Here's the project I made to share today...

A simple candy holder. I didn't have any candy to put in it, though, so this little character is extra excited about Halls. Ha.

Hello, folks!
Here today to share a card that appeared in Paper Crafts' new special issue, 75 Creative Card Challenges...
:o)
Most of the stuff on this card is from October Afternoon's 9 to 5 collection. I'm a fan of office-supply-themed things, so I *love* that collection! This card is from Challenge #52: Give your card a decorative edge.
If you happen to have the 75 Creative Card Challenges issue and saw my Just a Note card on page 124, there's an error in the published steps. I did not die-cut the herringbone background and then trace it onto the cardstock. I just replaced the blade in the Silhouette Cameo with a blue sketch pen and had the machine draw the herringbone design right onto the cardstock. Way easier than tracing anything!
Before I go, I wanted to send a long-distance hug to my friend Lisa for sending me this awesome card she made!
I am loving that glittery butterfly!! My picture doesn't show how pretty and shiny it really is. Thanks again, Lisa -- this card made me smile from ear-to-ear! :D
Hello there!
Hope you had a nice Christmas! Here are a few holiday projects that I haven't gotten around to sharing here yet...
This is a CD holder that appeared in Holiday Cards & More, Volume 7. I used the Silhouette Cameo and this cut file to create the holder, and then I decorated it with some October Afternoon goodies!
This card is part of the digital content of Paper Crafts' November/December 2012 issue that is available to subscribers! If you have a subscription to Paper Crafts, you get digital access for free, and if not, a digital subscription is pretty inexpensive. I got one so that I could view the issues early online! :D
And now for the donation update! A total of $512.00 was raised -- Woo-Hoo! -- and it was donated to Rolling Dog Farm on December 20th! I'm just waiting on one more payment to complete, but I went ahead and donated the amount from that order! I made the donation in honour of Humble. :o) I put the thank you message we got from Steve in Humble's paw-shaped stocking. Hee hee. Speaking of the little guy, I got him everything on his list! :D He is loving his new fluffy towel, dog-shaped cushion and blankie [the cushion and blankie are a set I found in the baby section of the store -- super-soft!]. He snuggles with them every day. :D
From those who ordered supplies during the sale for Rolling Dog Farm, I drew a winner who will receive this stamp and die set! The winner is Karine -- thank you so much for your purchases, Karine!! Your prize has been mailed! :D
Happy New Year!!
Through the powers of best buddy-ship, I have delved into the mind of Humble Bumble and found out what he would like from me for Christmas! :D
1. A donation to our pals at Rolling Dog Farm. Ma-oh!
[You got it, little guy! Because of the craft supply sale, I was able to donate more than usual in your name, too! Woo-Hoo!]
2. A new loo roll to shred. Meow!
3. Some paper towels to sit on and shred. Moh!
4. A kraft paper bag to pounce on and shred. Mrrr!
5. A new towel [I like the textures] or blankie [I really like blankies] to snuggle with. Meow-yawn!
6. A handmade card. Mah?
7. Cuddles.
[Okay, that's what I want from Humble. :D Ah hee hee!]
As you can see, Humble really is humble. Even when I spoil him with lots of cute toys, he enjoys the simple things in life. :o)
Hoping you and your animal pals are enjoying the holiday season!
Hello there!
Today, a new challenge starts off over at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog! This week's challenge is to make it shine!
Here's the gift tag I made to share today...
:o)
That little rocking horse stamp is just too cute! I coloured him with markers and added a bit of red Stickles. To make his eyes stand out more [literally], I used Enamel Accents -- now his eyes look like tiny little seed beads!! This was the first time I've ever used Enamel Accents, can you believe it? That should explain the excitement over the seed bead-lookin' eyes. :D
The green frame of gems is something I got on clearance -- it's called Nestabling by Want2Scrap. All of the gems are connected, but at first glance, the recipient might think you painstakingly placed each gem. Mwahaha -- sneaky! ;o)
The super-festive glittered paper is from an older Martha Stewart Crafts Christmas paper pad, but I saw the same kind of glittered paper in one of this year's Martha holiday paper pads, if you'd like to get your hands on it.
Big thanks to Lawnscaping for inviting me to be a guest this month! I hope you'll check out what everyone else has made for the challenge by clicking over to the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog!
If you enter your own project in the challenge, you'll have a chance to
win a prize from this challenge's sponsor, Lawn Fawn. Wa-hoo!
Need some sparkly stuff to put on your own projects? Let me know in a comment by December 27th, and I'll pick someone to send a few packs of Doodlebug gems to!
The winner of the Winter Bunny stamp giveaway from my previous Lawnscaping post is Jennifer Scull! Congratulations, Jennifer!! :D
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hello, folks!
So I had this big plan to do a "12 Cards for 12.12.12" post, but that didn't come together as planned. That day, I did manage to give the blog a new look, though! It took a little fiddling about, but I'm really jazzed with how it has turned out. :D I started my blog over two and a half years ago, and I hadn't changed the overall look of it since then, so I thought it would be nice to 'freshen it up'. I didn't think there was anything wrong with it before, but I wanted to have two sidebars instead and devote one to animals! :o)
Today I thought I would share a couple of holiday cards! I made both of these for past Paper Crafts calls. I submitted both more than once but didn't have luck with 'em. Win some, lose some, right? :D
:o)
Here we've got some October Afternoon goodies and American Crafts Thickers. I love the dimension of OA Chip 'n Stick and Thickers! Aside from the chipboard banner flags, everything else is non-holiday product. When one of the past PC holiday calls went out, I went through a lot of my patterned paper stash and pulled anything that looked holiday-friendly to me -- I ended up with more paper than all of my Christmas-line papers!
:o)
Here I used a fun stamp from Memory Box! The cute alphabet stamps are from an older Martha Stewart Crafts stamp set called Cookie Alphabet. I die-cut the green cardstock with a die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Small Pinking Circles set.
Hope you got a smile here today! :o)
Hello there!
Thanks to those who dropped by during the Paper Crafts blog hop and to those who left a kind comment! I really appreciate it! The winner of the Die Cutting for Paper Crafters issue is...
Angi Rankin!
Congratulations! :D I'll be sending you an e.mail shortly for your snail mail address!
ETA Nov. 28th: Hi, folks! I didn't hear back from Angi, so I picked a new winner: Marge! I'll be sending you a message soon, Marge! :o)
I'm going to have another craft supply sale soon to benefit Rolling Dog Farm -- the sale page will go live on December 4th, but I'll likely add things through December 5th! I'm hoping to clear out a couple of drawers of stuff to make room for stamps that I currently have in shoe boxes. Most of the stuff I'll be selling will be around a third of the retail price. There will be stamps [clear, cling-mounted rubber and wood-mounted rubber], dies, embossing folders, ink pads, and anything else I find to let go of.
I also wanted to thank those of you who have subscribed to my blog via e.mail! For some odd reason, several older posts went out again to e.mail subscribers. Please know that I didn't intentionally do that -- it must have been a Blogger error or something.
Until next time! Happy crafting! :D
